ADOLESCENT GIRLS AND YOUTH IN CRISIS

Added by Super Admin |  13 November 2020

Disasters have severe implications for the lives of boys and girls. In addition to physical/biological vulnerability, children faced with low involvement in decision making processes at various levels. Following a nearly nine months of emergency response and early recovery programs in Central Sulawesi, Yayasan Plan International Indonesia (Plan Indonesia) conducted a Scoping Study to have a closer look at child and youth situation in post disaster recovery Central Sulawesi. The study has two main objectives; firstly, to better understand the current situation and gaps facing children and youth as well as identify opportunities for Plan Indonesia to extend support, and secondly is to enable Plan Indonesia to continue its informed strategic support in rebuilding Central Sulawesi beyond the disaster recovery period.
